What do you see on this screen?
The overview shows all closed positions of all your active traders. Per transaction, the following columns are available:Position / Coin
The identification of the position and the traded cryptocurrency, such as BTC (Bitcoin) or ETH (Ethereum).
Buy amount
The amount originally invested in this position at purchase.
Sell amount
The amount received at the sale based on the market price at the moment of sale.
Gross return
The difference between sell and buy amount, expressed in euros and as a percentage. This is the return before deduction of fees.
Cost breakdown per transaction
Besides the gross return, the screen shows two cost items that are important for calculating your net profit:Trading fees (exchange)
Trading fees (exchange)
These are the transaction fees the exchange charges for executing the buy and sell order. The exact fees differ per exchange, but typically the following rates apply:
- Buy order: ~0.25% of the transaction amount
- Sell order: ~0.25% of the transaction amount
Platform fees (BitBrokerTrade)
Platform fees (BitBrokerTrade)
The BitBrokerTrade platform commission is 20% of the gross return achieved per transaction. This commission is automatically settled with your credits balance at the moment of sale.Example: with a gross return of € 50, € 10 is deducted from your credits as platform commission. You keep € 40 gross, minus the exchange trading fees.
Calculating gross vs. net profit
Want to know what you have net earned on a transaction? Use the following calculation:- Buy amount: € 1,000
- Sell amount: € 1,050
- Gross return: € 50
- Exchange trading fees (± 0.50% total): € 5
- Platform commission (20% of € 50): € 10
- Net profit: € 35
The dashboard always shows the gross profit. Keep in mind that the actual net proceeds are lower due to trading fees and platform commission. Use the formula above for an accurate calculation of your net result.
